Casa do Soqueiro 
This house belonged to the clog-maker of the village. That is why the traditional clog lasts are nowadays part of the decoration. Even the ancient firewood oven was adapted and integrated in the architecture. Today it is a beautiful fireplace to warm guests during the cold Winter days. 

Casa da Avô do Soito
Family inheritance which has survived the course of time. It still keeps the traditional kitchen and a terrace overlooking the magnificent landscape. One of its rooms was once occupied by the village teacher. Guests can see some of the school material used in those times.

Casa do Manuel Padeiro
Having been the first house to be built, it is usually referred to as the "House-Mother" and it offers a pleasant stay. Dating from 1745, the stone vestibule takes visitors back in time. Here we can find the Reception and guests can visit the Wine cellar with its wine press and a pleasant terrace, which is the ideal setting to enjoy the sunset in the countryside. 

Casa da Cruz 
It belonged to the owner´s great grandfather. It shares with the "House-Mother" a sunny terrace with a wonderful view, ideal for social gatherings.

Casa do Penedo 
Situated in a small property 200m away from the village limits, it is the ideal place to feel the quiet peacefulness of the countryside through its panoramic window perfectly integrated in Alto-Douro´s traditional architecture.

Tourist Unit in the rural area, offering five restored granite houses (11 bedrooms) which retain their character features: region materials and architectural style. We can still see the magnificent thick walls, niches and courtship benches.

Modern comfort has not been forgotten. Enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of our houses: air-conditioning, TV, swimming-pool, double glasses, rooms with private bathroom...

We are here to provide guests with a better knowledge of Alto-Douro vineyard region, World Heritage. We offer high-quality rural accommodation and welcoming atmosphere.

"Outros Tempos" - Rural Tourism is situated in "Arícera, in Armamar Council, on the left bank of "Alto Douro". How to get there:
- If you leave from the centre or the south of the country, go as far as Moimenta da Beira or Lamego.
- Leaving from the north, you have to reach Régua.
- Getting to one of these three towns, go as far as Travanca, which is 2Km away from Armamar.
- Then follow the Arícera signs. "Outros Tempos" - Turismo de Aldeia.
