Welcome to Casas do Toural!

Casas do Toural are a complex of rural houses (for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 14 guests), inside a small 7.5-acre farm.

The farm, where organic farming is practised, is situated in Gouveia, a little city on the northern slope of Serra da Estrela, towering at 700 m. above see level, in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park (PNSE).

PNSE wishes to preserve the natural landscape and the ecosystems balance, and conciliate the fauna (with rare species like the otter, the black stork, the mountain lizard) and the flora (with the nardus stricta, the juniper, the yew, the narcissus and the wild orchid) with agriculture and herding, traditional in this region.

In the PNSE there are several pedestrian itineraries which allow us to discover dazzling natural beauties, humanization areas and interesting geological accidents (glacial valleys, covões, etc.).
