The owner´s comments

The Casa do Vale do Linteiro was an XVIII century farmhouse.All in regional stone, it is formed into two different houses, separated by an ample interior patio, also in stone. 

Casa do Forno
Has a double bedroom, living room with hearth, equipped kitchen (with wood oven which can be used), and a bathroom. The furnishing is appropriate to the style and the floor is shale giving the house a particular, welcoming touch.
Capacity for four people.

Casa d´Avó
Has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, an ample lounge with hearth, interior balcony which (can be used as a dining room and reading area), and a fully equipped kitchen. The interior is modern, very comfortable and spacious. All parts have a view toward the patio and the pine trees of the surrounding area.
It has capacity for 6 people

You can enjoy the highland landscape from the back yard and use the porch to have meals you can prepare on the barbecue next to the swimming pool.

How to get there?

Accommodation located in the tourist area of Beira Litoral

- From the North, from the A1, take the exit to Coimbra Norte and continue toward the city.
On arriving at Coimbra, you must travel along the whole Inner Ring Road (follow signs for the Hospital initially) until you come across signs for the Beira road (E.N.17).

- From the South, along the A1, take the exit for Coimbra (after the Condeixa exit), cross the dam bridge and continue to the Inner Ring Road (Second exit on the left, toward the Hospital), which you must follow until you come across signs for the Beira road (E.N.17).

- The exit for Lousã (E.N.236) is on the Beira road after about 20 Km, which you must follow to the traffic lights then at the first village (Foz de Arouce), turn left following signs for Serpins.

- On arrival at the petrol pumps, go down to the railway station and keep ahead along the E.N. 554, to Terra da Gaga (about 2 Km).

- In the village, turn left for Fonte Fria. You will come across a small square after about 20m. Turn left once more down a narrow lane and at the end of the first houses you will find the set back gate of Casa Vale do Linteiro.

- Coming along the Beira road, toward Guarda-Coimbra, you must take the exit for the Poiares Junction, toward Góis. When you arrive at Olho Marinho, follow signs for Serpins to Terra da Gaga.

- Should you travel by train, you must take the passenger locomotive in Coimbra´s city park and get off at the end of Ramal da Lousã, in Serpins, where you can catch a taxi.
