Casa da Moita - a great find!

We stayed here for 6 days and were really pleased both with the house and its location.  This small 'casa' has been restored using traditional materials, making for simple, clean and comfortable accommodation.  The owner, Alvira, was so friendly, helpful and informative.  We even found ourselves picking wild plums and blackberries  with Alvira and her mother!  As for the area, there are great opportunities for river swimming- nearly every riverside village has its own 'beach' - check out the Ceira valley east of Gois, as well as the River Zezere. Great for cooling off in the August heat! Plenty of marked walking trails too.  And the village restaurant does a fine roast kid!  All in all, a lovely stay - many thanks
