In our  restaurant, which is used exclusively by our guests, you will be able to taste some light and savoury dishes, that combine home-made recipes dating back more than 200 years, with modern day cuisine.

In our menu, you can discover among other dishes: salad with goat’s cheese, scorpionfish paté and asparagus, our own home-made tinned  tuna, anchovies and peppers, salted ham products which have been specially made for our inn, traditional recipes for tripe, “asadurilla”, stewed meat... Without forgetting our home-made desserts: caramel, quince jelly, “leche frita” with “turrón” ice cream, cheesecake with home-made blackberry jam.

All this in a very intimate, cosy and quiet atmosphere, free of any smoke, ensuring that guests are guaranteed the important aspects that make up our inn: tranquillity, relaxation and good food.

Posada de Somo is the true result of in-depth reconstruction work, which has preserved the original materials of the house : oak, stone and clay floors and ceilings, producing a comfortable and cosy accommodation with eleven modern rooms, but with all the charm of days gone by. There are eight double rooms (some of which can be connected, making it ideal for a family) and three special rooms, all with a complete bathroom, hair drier, welcoming products, heating..., some of which have sea views, and others overlooking the valley of Ribamontan. It is well worth highlighting the special rooms (each with 35 sq m). Number 11 includes a lounge with a fireplace, a whirlpool bath and the enormous windows overlooking the valley. Numbers 1 and 2 have a relaxing lounge with a direct access onto the garden and the Jacuzzi.

In the communal facilities you will find a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, a library, board games, a cafeteria and restaurant for the exclusive use of guests staying at the inn.

One of the favourite places of our guests is the glass lounge with its fireplace, a place that was completed in March 2007.

Outside, there is a patio where you can have breakfast or evening dinner, weather permitting, and a 1.000 sq m garden which completes the facilities on offer.

With regards to the location of the inn, it is situated just 300 m from Somo beach and just a short distance from Cabarceno, Santander, Santillana, Comillas... Places that you must visit when you come to Cantabria.

A massage menu at Posada de Somo. Since the beginning of the year, we have introduced a new service at our inn. It is the massage menu and body treatment which complement the offer of relaxation and gastronomy that we have been offering so far. This initiative has been extremely popular with our guests. Relaxing massages, blood circulation, anticellulitis, sports therapy, body peel, body moisturing, body peel using sea salt, more moisturing and massages with pure olive oil. Why not give someone who deserves it the pleasure of a massage or body treatment from just 15 € without leaving the room.
