The owner´s comments

A typical mountain village house, which dates back to the beginning of the 18th century, and built in stone. Fully renovated and suitable for modern day living. There are three floors, each one with an independent apartment. 

Borredà, a mountain village with a long history, starting in the ninth century. 
The house is fully equipped and prepared for your stay. 

We have ecological heating and hot water using geothermal energy. 

The centre of the village are stone houses and cobbled stone streets. An excellent point of departure for many excursions and routes, both scenic and historical, especially Romanesque.

Several restaurants, grocers and butchers. Excellent home-made ham products.

Activities 

• Land: Canyoning,  Mushroom forays,  Mountain biking,  Rock climbing,  Skiing,  Paintball,  Bungee jumping,  Horse riding,  Hiking,  Tennis,  Archery. 
• Sea: Canoeing - kayak,  Rafting,  Fishing. 
• Air: Hang gliding,  Paragliding. 
• Workshops: Flora and Fauna observation. 

All the activities are organised and directed by a specialised and well-known centre.

Interesting places

• Sant Jaume de Frontanyà  (  9 km)
  A small Catalonian village. An original Romanesque church, which has been carefully preserved and is of great architectural interest.
• Ripoll  (  22 km)
  The historical birthplace of Catalonia. Where we can highlight its Romanesque monastery, the museum. Visit Sant Joan de les Abadeses, where we find another Romanesque monastery for nuns.

The means of transport must be by car or by 4x4.
Two main access routes:
C-16 from Barcelona to Puigcerdà, via Manresa
C-17 from Barcelona to Puigcerdà, via Vic
C-26 which joins the C-16 (in Berga) and the C-17 (in Ripoll). Borredà is halfway.
