Casa Lucianita - A Rural Get Away

We stayed 10 days at this lovely house and were met at the airport by Juan Manuel, the owner. He is so nice and has a lovely welcome pack ready for his guests.He was very helpful about the area and speaks better English than he admits! We used this as a base for walking on the island with our local walk-Fontanales Circle- only 10 mins away and 30 minutes gets you to Tedeja the starting point for many other walks. It is a rural house just on the edge of a traditional village which has 2 supermarkets, a mill, the cheese shop and a restaurant.The north coast is about 20 minutes away. Being high, the house can get some cloud but you can drive away into beautiful sunshine very quickly.Facilities were excellent from pool to jacuzzi. Juan Manuel comes to look after the pool and gardens and the house is very furnished and equipped with DVDs, games, music system and CDs.We certainly had a wonderful stay and would recommend it as an ideal base to explore the interior of the island.
