Great stay in a charming 'Solar'

We really recommend this place. The house (Solar) was fully renewed yet keeps its original charm - we can say that it is even luxurious. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of local products and a variety of jams made by the owner's wife. The owner, who was very friendly, was always open to talk to us. The location of the house is not so far from beautiful and interesting villages and cities. If you like to be surrounded by nature in an elegant (and clean!) place, you should try Solar dos Cerveiras!

A place like home!

If you want to meet the most hospitable couple in the world visit Solar dos Cerveiras! It's owners will welcome you with warmth and attention, aromatic coffee and a very interesting historical visit around the house. Apartments are spacious but very cosy. Everyday cleaning and change of towels makes you confuse you make too much mess. A beautiful garden full of fruit trees and vegetables is a wonderful place to rest and enjoy sun. Unfortunately one can't even think about loosing weight! Breakfast is a feast for those who like continental breakfast and those who want to enjoy local cuisine: home-made jams and marmalades, local cheese. Hosts will advise you where to go and what to see, will tell you the history of the house and take you for a walk around the garden. We wish our Portuguese were better to understand more of very interesting information. But the most important is you feel like home and it's so hard to leave!
